VR Meeting

Effective Status Representation in VR Meetings

In the realm of virtual reality (VR) meetings, real-world objects and actions often aren't easily recognizable by computer or VR mechanics. This can lead to motions, such as drinking water or eating cookies, appearing somewhat bizarre or unnatural in the virtual space. My current work focuses on addressing this challenge by considering both privacy and actuality. The goal is to enhance the VR experience by making these motions appear more realistic and natural, while also ensuring user privacy.

Activity Recognition with Apple Watch

Activity Recognition from Acoustic Data with Apple Watch

This project utilizes the Apple FastVit model to recognize user activity on low-performance devices like Apple Watch. It aims to accurately determine user actions by processing audio data, setting the stage for the integration of IMU sensors to enhance activity detection precision. The final purpose is to achieve a multifaceted recognition system that interprets user activity with high accuracy while addressing the constraints of device performance and battery life.
